Circular Economy Taiwan Expo 2018台灣國際循環經濟展

Taiwan is holding its first Circular Economy Expo from 19-21 Sept, organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council, TAITRA 中華民國對外貿易發展協會, at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. During the expo, there will be three forums, held respectively on the 19th, 20th, and 21st. The ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) is the supporting organization to the forums, which are free for registration.

The MOEA's Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) is the organizer to the Circular Taiwan for Future Common Wealth Forum 「循環臺灣　放眼天下」; the two co-organizers are the CommonWealth Magazine and ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI).

MOEA Minister Shen Jong-chin 沈榮津部長 with Sustainable and CE Association Chairman Shih Yen-shiang 施顏祥理事長, and TAITRA President Huang Chi-fang Michelin 黃志芳董事長 will give opening remarks, followed by three keynote speeches by three LCI members: Michelin 米其林, Unilever 聯合利華, and IKEA 宜家宜居 about transforming their global supply chain for the circular economy.

The objective of the forum is to redefine, redesign, and rethink "waste", which might be a resource for those who are part of the symbiosis loop. The audience will learn from the invited industry experts about raw material in supply chain, seven circular economy business models from prominent European corporations, and utilization of ocean waste and bio-gas. This forum is to provide solutions and guidance for Taiwan's SMEs to enter foreign eco-markets. Speakers from TUV Rheinland 德國萊因, Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), and etc., will be introducing certifications, purchasing legislation, and CE regulations for the EU, Australia, and the UK.
