ECCT 2013 Gala Ball: Night of FIRE & ICE
Popular radio host Emily David was the evening's Master of Ceremonies. She wasted no time in introducing the ball's opening act, an exciting dance and diabolo performance by the Formosa Fantasy group. After the exciting opening, ECCT Chairman Giuseppe Izzo then took to the stage to give a charming welcoming address.
After the chairman's speech was concluded, guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal accompanied by fine red and white wines.
Ladies in the mood for pampering were offered the chance to have a free professional make-over, courtesy of Giorgio Armani Cosmetics and professional face designers throughout the evening.
The ball also catered to those with an appetite for gaming. Roulette & blackjack tables were set up for guests to play, although only for chocolate euros. Players that lost their chocolates were able to refund their chocolate bankrolls by buying raffle tickets for the lucky draw. Thanks to some generous donations, some fabulous lucky draw prizes were given away throughout the evening.
When dinner was over, it was time for dancing. Things started sedately with a waltz and got progressively faster as this was followed by a cha cha and then a salsa. The opening numbers allowed those with formal dancing skills to show off their moves.
After this the real party started to the beat of popular band Wailin' Soul. They played three sets combining Latin, salsa, jazz, R&B, and rock during the course of the evening to keep the energetic party-goers happy. For those more inclined to drinking and socialising, the free flow of champagne and other drinks continued until the early morning.
