The ECCT is pleased to welcome its newest member of staff. Jimmy Lee has been hired as the chamber's Government Liaison Director, taking over from Jerry Fong, who has retired after serving in the role for 23 years.

Jimmy Lee joins the ECCT with 30 years of experience in media. He began his career as a business researcher for the Japanese Digest in Taipei and later as a translator and reporter for Business Weekly. He went on to join the staff of China Times Weekly magazine, where he spent 28 years, first as a reporter, before being promoted to Editor-in-Chief and finally CEO. During this time, he was responsible for starting a new magazine, Want Weekly, where he also served as CEO. Immediately prior to joining the ECCT, Jimmy worked as the General Manager of the Publishing Department of the Commercial Times. He recently completed writing his second book based on an interview with a magician aboard the ill-fated Diamond Princess cruise liner.
