ECCT LCI's Visit to Chunghwa Post Company Chairman Wu Hong-mo 拜會中華郵政公司董事長 吳宏謀

ECCT CEO Freddie Höglund led an ECCT delegation to visit Chunghwa Post Company, where they met Chairman Wu Hong-mo and his executive team. This meeting was facilitated by the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) and was the first meeting between the ECCT and Chunghwa Post Company. However, Chairman Wu has been acquainted with the ECCT since 2014 when he served as the Deputy Mayor of Kaohsiung, which, in that year hosted the Kaohsiung Smart Mobility Summit that was supported by the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI). Later, in 2018 under his chairmanship of Taiwan International Ports Company (TIPC), the TIPC joined the ECCT and the LCI to promote renewable energy and the offshore wind industry.
At the meeting, delegates discussed building substantial and sustainable collaboration with Chunghwa Post, which has set goals for the sustainable operations of its postal services. Delegates were given a video presentation introduction to Chunghwa Post’s Eco-logistics Park in Taoyuan, which was followed by discussions on the subjects of AI, smart logistics, smart communities and the circular economy. At the end of the meeting, the CEO invited Chairman Wu to be the keynote speaker at a forthcoming chamber event.
