The Wind Energy committee, represented by co-chair Leon Wu, discussed ways to encourage government-backed banks to support offshore wind energy financing.
The Tax committee, represented by co-chair Lynn Chen, addressed the streamlining of withholding tax payment procedures for companies, Taiwan's position and schedule for the adoption of Pillar Two Global Anti-Base Erosion ("GloBE") Rules, adopting consistent domicile standards for Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC) holders, and extending the withholding deadline for payments to non-residents.
Both the co-chairs of the Luxury Goods committee participated in the meeting. Monica Chao discussed upgrading and enhancing passengers' experience at Taiwan's international airports while Sunny Chan talked about tax drawbacks for re-exported goods.
