The ECCT paid a visit to Lai Ying-ying, Director General of the Resource Circulation Administration, under the Ministry of Environment (MOENV). Led by ECCT Mobility, Electrical Engineering & Equipment, Retail & Distribution Committee Director Vivienne Lin and Government Liaison Director Jimmy Lee, Co-Chair of the Retail & Distribution committee Hugo Asplund and Co-Chair of the Energy & Environment committee Jim Tai, the visit was also attended by several other members of various ECCT committees.

During the meeting, members raised questions and offered suggestions about the Resource Circulation Promotion Act. Issues regarding green design, product recycling, disposal fees and simplifying EU-Taiwan standard harmonization were discussed. DG Lai, division heads and section chiefs of the Resource Circulation Administration welcomed members’ feedback and more communications for the mutual benefit of both industry players and consumers.
