The ECCT paid a visit to Peng Ying-Wei, Director General of the Customs Administration under the Ministry of Finance. The meeting was jointly arranged by the ECCT’s Luxury Goods and Tax committees and attended led by ECCT CEO Freddie Höglund, Luxury Goods committee co-chair’s Sunny Chan (陳靖邦 精品業委員會聯合主席) and Monica Chao (趙國璇 精品業委員會聯合主席) and Tax committee co-chair Lynn Chen (陳慧玲 稅務委員會聯合主席). 

Among other issues, during the meeting delegates discussed Customs’ supervision of the importation of goods purchased overseas, tax drawback for re-exported goods, export measures for duty-paid for out-of-season goods after importation and simplifying the customs clearance and application process for imported goods.
