As the world emerges from the pandemic, the EU launches the highly anticipated third edition of the European Innovation Week from 29 May to 2 June 2023. Running in parallel with the largest IT tradeshow in Asia, the 2023 Computex and Innovex, this unique initiative will gather more than 100 business leaders and 11 industrial clusters from Europe to unveil Europe’s innovation landscape in key industrial sectors.

"The European Innovation Week will showcase the collaboration opportunities between the EU and Taiwan, as both sides share common values and a common vision of a green and sustainable future,"said Filip Grzegorzewski, Head of the European Economic and Trade Office.

With ICT, green transition and talent pool as the main themes of the European Innovation Week, the 5-day activities in Taipei, Taoyuan and Taichung will feature several workshops, seminars, as well as presentations, cluster and business networking, as well as company visits. The seminars highlight Europe as the front-runner in research and innovation, notably in the domains of circular economy, hydrogen, semiconductor, robotics, 6G connectivity.

Apart from the seminars, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will host business and cluster forums, matchmaking meetings, and information exchanges on Wednesday, 31 May. These activities aim to enhance bilateral trade development and expand international markets opportunities for EU clusters, Taiwanese business and industrial associations. The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) matchmaking sessions will facilitate connections between Taiwanese and European clusters as well as small and medium enterprises to explore cluster-to-cluster and business-to-business collaborations.

5/29-6/2 歐盟創新週系列活動開跑

解封後第一場， 臺灣─歐盟創新聯結活動

隨著世界從疫情中復甦，歐盟即將於五月二十九月起至六月二日舉辦第三屆創新週活動。歐盟創新週將與亞洲最大的資通訊展覽 COMPUTEX 2023和InnoVEX同期舉行。來自歐盟的企業和十一個產業聚落 (相當於臺灣的產業工公協會)，預計超過一百人的歐盟代表團，將來台灣參加歐盟創新週活動，並與台灣產業界交流歐洲產業的重要創新發展。

歐洲經貿辦事處高哲夫處長強調: 「臺歐雙方擁有共同價值，以及對綠色和永續未來的共同願景，歐盟創新週將深入發掘歐盟與臺灣之間的合作機會。」

歐盟創新週以資通訊科技、綠色轉型及人才庫為主軸，共為期五天，在臺北、桃園及台中舉辦多項活動，包括十多場與產業創新相關的研討會、產業聚落與企業交流，以及企業參訪等。主題涵蓋歐洲領先的創新領域，包括資源循環、氫能、太空、半導體、6G、和機器人等。

除了研討會外，透過歐洲經貿網(Enterprise Europe Network, EEN)、歐盟產業聚落合作平台(ECCP)、中華民國對外貿易發展協會，以及中華民國全國工業總會的安排，創新週還將針對臺灣和歐洲的企業及產業聚落，舉辦商機媒合活動。臺灣外貿協會已於2015年加入歐洲經貿網，成為歐洲經貿網在世界六十餘個重要據點之一。五月三十一日在台北南港展覽館二館進行的這項臺歐商機媒合活動，將由貿協主導規畫，可望促進臺歐盟中小企業及產業聚落的交流，並且增進臺歐商業發展和合作機會。

另外，來自歐盟十個會員國的十一個不同產業聚落，如資通訊、半導體、數位科技、機器人、AI、智慧城市、智慧製造等產業聚落代表，也將來臺參與歐盟創新週的活動。這是疫情解封後，歐洲的產業聚落代表首次訪臺。在國貿局和工總的協助安排下，他們將和臺灣產業公工協會代表，一起探討臺歐未來可能的產業、貿易和投資合作機會。
