The ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) arranged a visit to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) where they met with MOTC Deputy Minister Chi Wen-jong (交通部次長祁文中) to introduce the 2022 Global Offshore Wind Summit – Taiwan (GOWST) and understand the Taichung Port enhancement implementations for offshore wind farm infrastructure. The ECCT delegation was led by CEO Freddie Höglund and LCI Vice Chair Sean McDermott, and included representatives from SGRE, Vestas, wpd, BlueFloat Energy, and Iberdrola. 10 executive officials from the Department of Navigation and Aviation (航政司), Taiwan International Ports Corporation (臺灣港務公司), and Maritime Port Bureau (航港局) also joined the meeting.
