On 30 November, Ernst & Young (EY, 安永聯合會計師事務所), the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (ECCT LCI, 歐洲商會-低碳倡議行動) and the GreenTech Innovation Alliance (綠色科技新創聯盟) jointly organized the 2023 Meet Taipei forum theming “Together, We Create a Sustainable Future”. At the forum, opening remarks were made by Marilyn Su, ECCT LCI Sustainable Supply Chain Working Group Leader, James Huang, Assurance Leader of EY, and Gloria Chang, Vice President of GreenTech Innovation Alliance. This was followed by presentations and a panel discussion featuring prominent keynote speakers and panellists who shared insights on the trends and challenges related to ESG development. The speakers included Jay Wu, Technical Marketing Manager of STMicroelectronics Ltd., and Hans Chen, Accountant and Partner of EY.
Bart Linssen, Leader of LCI's Green Finance, ESG, and CPPA Working Group chaired the panel discussion where Marilyn Su, CSO & Foundation Executive Chief of Carrefour, shared her insights on the green retail industry and food transformation, and Jamie Lu, Accountant and Partner of EY pointed out that over 80% of global corporate CEOs deem sustainability & ESG an essential value that requires action for their business and growth.
The event was well received and attended at the Meet Taipei 2023.
