[Event Report] LCI x Taipower's “Risk Management Center 台電風險管控中心” Discussion Meeting
The ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) paid a visit to Taiwan Power Research Institute on the topic of risk control in the development of power distribution system. This event was attended by audience of 50 personnel, 30 from the TPRI and 20 from the LCI.
During the event, LCI members including Fortune Electric, KPMG Deal Advisory Limited, PwC Taiwan, Schneider Electric, Skyborn Renewables and TÜV Rheinland discussed the issue about risk control in power distribution system with personnel in TPRI.
Nine important issues were discussed by all participants. For example, the first topic is “Whether the scope of risk control of foreign power systems is differentiated by voltage level, or there are different management and control modes according to different voltage levels.”
By learning and comparing the foreign cases of risk control, improvement strategies of exposed equipment in foreign substation, risk management software and power line planning mechanism, participants discussed about how to reduce the operating cost and in the meanwhile increase the benefit under 100% safety of work.
