ECCT-BCCT Joint Special Lunch
The Age of Creativity
Guest speaker
Sir John Sorrell, UK Business Ambassador & Author of Creative Island I and II
From architecture and engineering to fashion and jewellery; from new media and graphics to theatre and retail design, the United Kingdom continues to be seen as one of the leading nations in design and creativity. UK creative practitioners study one another's work, meet socially and interact at industry events and forums, and this leads to a healthy sense of competition as well as to mutual learning, development and innovation. The UK's forward-thinking design education system also encourages cross-fertilisation and collaboration across the disciplines. Design is the engine room of the creative industries and creativity is what sets the human race apart, enabling us to solve the problems we face and make a better world for us all to live in.
