The ECCT’s Central Taiwan committee is hosting a half-day event that aims to be both informative and entertaining. It will start with a visit to TSMC’s factory in the Central Taiwan Science Park. After this, participants will be transported to IKEA’s Taichung store where they will enjoy a networking happy hour in the store’s rooftop garden.

The visit to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world’s largest dedicated semiconductor foundry, will include a tour of the company’s 12-inch Gigafab (Fab 15) where TSMC representatives will introduce their green buildings, water recycling and energy efficiency equipment, among other advanced features.

Agenda:

13:00 – 14:00  Transportation from Taichung’s high speed rail (HSR) station to TSMC

14:00 – 14:10  Opening by ECCT and AmCham Taichung

14:10 -- 14:30  Presentation by TSMC

14:30 – 16:00  Factory Tour

16:00 – 17:00  Transfer to IKEA’s Taichung store by bus

17:00 – 20:00  Happy hour dinner in the rooftop garden of IKEA’s Taichung store.

All ECCT members are invited to attend. Whether you already have headquarters, operations, branch offices, clients or suppliers located in Taichung or surrounding areas or are interested in doing business in Central Taichung, this event will give you the opportunity to meet others with similar interests.

This event has been arranged by the Central Taiwan committee, set up to serve the interests of ECCT members and European business interests in the Greater Taichung metropolitan area and surrounding areas in Central Taiwan.

We welcome you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about sustainable trading and procurement practices and meet with other ECCT members in a relaxed, informal setting.

Cost: NT$1,600 for members; NT$2,000 for members' guest(s); (please bring the full amount in cash)       

* Guests are requested to bring photo ID or passports to register for the factory tour

* The factory visit requires registration by no later than 4 March

* Transportation from Taichung’s HSR station to the factory and from the factory to IKEA Taichung is included.

* The cost of this event does not include transport to and from Taichung.

* The tour ends at IKEA’s Taichung store.

* To cancel without penalty, written cancellation must be received before 6 March.
