Inaugural Southern Taiwan committee meeting

All ECCT members are invited to attend a meeting to formalize the establishment of the ECCT's Southern Taiwan committee and discuss future activities. The meeting will be the last item on the programme of the ECCT's full-day trip to Kaohsiung and will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.

Following the ECCT's transition to a nationwide association in 2013, the chamber is committed to expanding its activities beyond Taipei to Taiwan's other major cities. In 2013, the ECCT established its Central Taiwan committee based in Taichung. The objective of establishing a Southern Taiwan committee is to serve the interests of ECCT members and European business interests in the Greater Kaohsiung and Tainan metropolitan areas and surrounding areas in Southern Taiwan, including those with headquarters or operations in Southern Taiwan as well as those with branch offices in Southern Taiwan.

All ECCT members, regardless of their location in Taiwan, are invited to attend this meeting and to join the Southern Taiwan committee. We especially encourage members with company representatives in Kaohsiung to attend this meeting. The following is the agenda for the committee meeting:

1. Formal establishment of the Southern Taiwan committee.
2. Volunteer/election of committee co-chairs.
3. Introduction of the ECCT's Better Living committee.
4. Discussion on action plans and issues.
5. Discussion of events/ activities for 2015.
