Future Trends of the Retail Business

The retail market in Taiwan is going through significant changes, driven by the increase in e-commerce, while new geopolitical factors are reshaping retail trends and distribution models. These factors include, but are not limited to, US-China trade tensions and shifts in tourism trends in Taiwan with fewer Chinese tourists and more visitors from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and South-East Asia.

Members of the ECCT’s Cosmetics committee are hosting this seminar to bring together all the major retail players involved in the cosmetics industry in Taiwan, including major brands, department stores, beauty stores, travel businesses and e-commerce platform operators, to discuss recent developments, ongoing trends and anticipated developments in the industry in the year ahead. The event will feature experienced and high-profile speakers, who are all experts in their respective fields, to share their insights and discuss the various strategies they have adopted to thrive in the current market.

Although the seminar is focused on the cosmetics industry, the scope of topics covered will extend beyond the world of cosmetics, and will be of interest to other players in the retail and services industries.

The format of the event (morning seminar and a panel discussion over lunch) will allow for sufficient time for in-depth discussions between speakers and for the audience to ask questions.
