Efforts to rein in NHI spending have been pursued since the healthcare scheme was introduced 20 years ago through the imposition of tighter controls on the drug ( pricing & reimbursement, price cut through DET etc.), and through the implementation of measures designed to curb both demand and supply. These have included the establishment of a global budget payment system, DRG flat-rate payment system, supply-side cost-containment measures, tracking waste and fraud, like a cloud-based medical records system and etc.
Our guest speaker will provide an overview of the NHIA global budget policies and strategies in line with the goal to maintain system sustainability, public welfare and quality of healthcare, and a forecast of possible pharmaceutical price cuts in the next few years.
This event will be conducted in Chinese. Moreover, attendees need to get the pass card on 1/F reception hall according to receptionist's instruction at Taipei 101. Please arrive 10 mins earlier.
