INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS COMMITTEE LUNCH
Introduction to the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court in the EU
Speaker
Dr Eberhard Becker, European patent and trademark attorney, Partner, Becker Kurig Straus
With the Unitary Patent (UP) and Unified Patent Court (UPC) in full swing in the European Union (EU), nearly every company in Taiwan with European business interests is trying to adjust its patent strategy to accommodate the new UPC system. As the rules and procedures are still in development and with no official launch date, the patent world is eagerly awaiting the new system to be unveiled.
Our guest speaker will provide an update on the most recent UPC developments and offer his opinion on the expected implications of the new system.
