Address: 160, Ren Ai Road, Sec. 3, Taipei,Taiwan 10657, R.O.C.

Launched in 2018, the Taiwan Employment Gold Card is a 4-in-1 card, that includes a resident visa, work permit, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), and re-entry permit, which allows holders to leave and re-enter Taiwan multiple times. The card also offers tax and other benefits.

In 2020, the National Development Council (NDC) created the Gold Card Office to serve as a single point of contact for the recruitment and assistance of foreign professionals working in Taiwan. The Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professional Talent was amended in 2021 to increase the scope of foreign professionals eligible to apply for a Gold Card, improve the social and tax benefits and relax the requirements for visa applications.

However, the eligibility requirements remain high and procedures to apply for the Gold Card have been described as complicated and time-consuming. While the number of cards issued has increased over the past two years, the scheme has not yet attracted a large number of foreign professionals, especially in fields such as technology and law.

At this event, our guest speakers will give an update on recent amendments to eligibility requirements and benefits and explain the procedures for companies and individuals to apply.

Cost: NT$1,600 for members and NT$2,200 for members' guest(s)
