Taiwan and European countries have pledged to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. With just 25 years left to reach this goal, much work remains to be done. European countries and companies were pioneers and remain leaders developing and implementing numerous innovative technologies and solutions to realise a net zero future. Thanks to early adoption, Europe has made the most progress so far towards net zero. Over the past several months, the ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) has been collaborating with Ernst & Young (EY) to compile a report which showcases some of the most promising solutions offered by ECCT members that will help both Taiwan to Europe to advance their progress towards net zero, including alternative energy, financial measures, government policies, sustainable practices for industry, transportation, buildings, biotech, natural and circular economy solutions.
This event will serve as the formal launch of the new report: “Vision to Reality: A Net Zero Future” (從理想到實踐，擘劃未來淨零藍圖報告書). At the event, the report will be presented to members and the government, represented by an MOEA representative (中華民國經濟部代表).
