Marketing and promoting Taiwan as a shopping destination 

All ECCT members are cordially invited to attend a specially-arranged meeting with Director Lin Kun Yuan and other senior officials from the Tourism Bureau – International Affairs Division. The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity for members to exchange views and discuss any issues they may have regarding the travel and tourism industry directly with senior tourism officials. Members in the hotel, airline, retail, luxury goods, transportation and logistics industries who have dealings with the Tourism Bureau are urged to take advantage of this rare opportunity and register for this event in advance.

Taiwan's tourism industry has expanded significantly over the past six years. Tourist arrivals have almost doubled since 2008 and topped eight million arrivals in 2013. This has provided a significant boost to the hospitality, travel and retail industry but also presented challenges in terms of transportation infrastructure, hotel capacity and the environmental impact of catering to more visitors. This meeting will give members the chance to exchange views on how to address these challenges and ensure the healthy and sustainable development of the tourism industry in Taiwan.
