At this event our guest speaker will give an updated analysis of the latest shopper trends in Taiwan based on extensive research conducted by Nielsen in Taiwan. Her presentation will focus on three main areas:
How shopper behavior has changed over the past year
‧ What is the impact of higher food and consumer goods prices?
‧ Are shoppers buying fewer and more expensive items or focused on bargains?
‧ Are consumers shopping around for deals or doing most of their shopping at the same store?
Where shoppers are spending their money
‧ Has the visiting frequency to hypermarket dropped? What about trade at other retailers compared with last year? Are shoppers willing to pay extra money to save time?
The key attributes that shoppers care about
‧ What is the significance and impact of recent changes in retail channels? For example, what has been the impact of convenience store channels upgrading their image by Introducing new products first, developing private labels and providing good deals and promotions?
These are just some of the questions our speaker will address.
About the speaker
Terri Kang is the Director of Retailer Services for Nielsen Taiwan. With over 10-years' experience in the field of retail and market research, Kang's expertise stems from her first-hand management in a world-renowned retailer in regards to operating execution, retail marketing/communication, and store management. In her current position, she focuses on cross-channel strategic consumer-centric planning by leading various projects of category management and pricing analysis. She leads a team which diagnoses and conducts business process improvement sessions to increase productivity and return on investment within organizations. As an accredited trainer, Kang is an advocate of pragmatic applications of market/shopper information analysis. Her observations on Taiwan's retail market are published regularly in the retail market arena. Kang is a graduate from the International Business Department of National Taiwan University.
