ECCT PREMIUM EVENT

Following the ECCT's transition to a nation-wide association in 2013, the chamber has been expanding activities to include major cities across Taiwan. As the latest part of this effort, we are delighted to invite you to sign up for an exclusive visit to Kaohsiung City. The trip will include a meeting with Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu and senior city government officials, and visits to Kaohsiung harbour's Free Trade Zone, container and passenger terminals and the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. In addition, we will be holding a meeting to discuss the establishment of a Southern Taiwan committee to serve the interests of ECCT members in Southern Taiwan. Companies already doing business or interested in doing business in Southern Taiwan are welcome to participate.

Kaohsiung is Taiwan's second largest special municipality and home to Taiwan's largest port, around 2.9 million people and a vibrant and diverse economy which includes manufacturing, petrochemicals, steel, shipbuilding and agriculture. The Kaohsiung City mayor and administration has received much praise in recent years for its efficient administration and successful efforts to improve infrastructure, beautify the city and boost industries such as luxury yacht building and the emerging culture and creativity industries.

Registered participants should meet at the main entrance of the Kaohsiung City Government building to begin the tour. Participants are kindly requested to arrange their own transportation to and from Kaohsiung.

Space on the tour is LIMITED and registration is on a first-come-first-served basis, so please RSVP as soon as possible with the ECCT secretariat.
