As part of the ECCT's ongoing programme as a nationwide association to actively engage in cooperation with municipal governments all across Taiwan, members are invited to an exclusive round-table lunch with Taichung Mayor Lin Chia-lung and senior Taichung City Government officials. The lunch will be preceded by a meeting between the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI), Mayor Lin and senior government officials to talk about future cooperation. The lunch will feature a speech by Mayor Lin and interaction with senior officials, who will be seated among members at the event.
The lunch will provide members with a unique opportunity to meet face to face with Mayor Lin and city officials to hear about the city's business development plans and discuss business issues. The agenda will include an update on Taichung's business climate, plans for further development and cooperation between the city and the ECCT's Central Taiwan committee and Low Carbon Initiative (LCI). Mayor Lin will also provide an update on the city's transportation infrastructure plans (such as the Wuri-Beitun MRT line scheduled for completion in 2018), urban development and business opportunities associated with these plans. Topics to be covered include the development of existing industries (high-tech, machinery, bicycles and sporting goods) as well as new industries (such as robotics).
