As has become tradition, the ECCT will hold its annual roundtable lunch with Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) and senior officials from the Taipei City Government. At this exclusive lunch, for ECCT members, which will be held for the 27th consecutive year, this year’s event will provide an opportunity for ECCT members to raise questions or discuss issues of concern or mutual interest with the mayor and a full delegation of senior TCG cabinet officials, who will be in attendance.

At the event, Mayor Chiang will give a speech to update members on recent developments and plans for the year ahead in Taipei City, this will be followed with a Q&A session.

About the speaker
Chiang Wan-an is currently the Mayor of the Taipei City Government. He was previously a legislator in the Legislative Yuan, elected first in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. Prior to his political career, he worked as a lawyer for the firm Lee and Li. Later, he became an aide in the National Assembly. After receiving his JD degree in the United States, he practiced law at the corporate law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto California. After practicing for several years, he founded his own law firm before returning to Taiwan in 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and law from National Chengchi University and a JD degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
