There has been much discussion since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic about the future of work, especially how much work can and should be done remotely and how much needs to be done in the office. The pandemic has also prompted a rethink about office space, particularly how much is needed in the new normal and the ideal office configurations. However, not many companies in Taiwan have yet taken action to redesign their workplaces for hybrid working and sustainability is not always a consideration.

IKEA Taiwan is one of the few companies that has already renovated its office to cater to the new hybrid working needs of their employees while using sustainably sourced furniture and materials. During this exclusive tour, guests will be shown around IKEA’s new office to see how different it is from the conventional office and why the company is a leader in sustainable design, sourcing, and production while also pioneering new concepts, such as refurbishing old furniture and furniture leasing business models.

After the tour, there will be a panel discussion on the practical and legal issues that need to be addressed to ensure continued productivity under a hybrid working model.
