As countries around the world are implementing measures to prevent tax base erosion and profit shifting, it has become increasingly important for enterprises to take a proactive approach to effectively manage tax costs. The Taiwan government has introduced a variety of tax incentive programmes to encourage business investment. These incentives range from tax exemptions to deductions to tax credits. By taking full advantage of available tax incentives, companies would be able to reduce their tax burden legally and operate as efficiently as possible.
Each tax incentive programme has its own qualifications that require thorough evaluation and strategic actions to pursue. At this lunch, our guest speaker will explain how to utilize various tax incentives and develop application strategies for enterprises to achieve effective tax management under current tax practice in Taiwan.
Among other topics the speaker will discuss:
- An introduction of the main tax incentive programmes, including the qualifications and application processes, required documents and timelines
- A few case examples to illustrate the “yesses”, “nos” and “maybes”
- An open exchange of views and experience with the attendees
