ECCT's 25th Anniversary Get-together Party
Mingle with founding members, former Chairmen, CEOs and friends to celebrate 25 years of EU-Taiwan friendship and prosperity
Gourmet food & wine provided by Angie F&B Group
To complement our 25th Anniversary Lunch celebration, the ECCT will be holding an informal party on the same evening as the lunch at the Chini Gallery. The gallery, the name of which means to "gather the results of creation", is dedicated to promoting talented Taiwanese artists. Delicious gourmet food and wine will be provided by the Angie F&B Group, renowned for its exquisite Osteria by Angie Italian restaurant and the Warehouse, an organic wine importer.
We will be inviting all our former chairmen, CEOs, founding members and friends to enjoy a few drinks and share anecdotes from the early days of the chamber while surrounded by beautiful artworks. We welcome all our current and past members to join us for a nostalgic trip down memory lane, to see how far we've come, how much we've achieved and what we can look forward to in the next chapter of the ECCT's history as an nation-wide association, the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan.
The ECCT's 25th Anniversary will celebrate 25 years of friendship and close cooperation between the European business community, the Taiwan government and the business community in Taiwan.
The European Chamber was founded with just 50 founding members in 1988, soon after the lifting of martial law. Taiwan's opening up to the world since then has led to an unprecedented period of political, social and economic transformation. We have witnessed Taiwan's transition to a fully-fledged democracy with a vibrant civil society, entry into the WTO, accession to the GPA and being granted visa-free entry to the EU, among many achievements.
The ECCT is proud to have been part of the surge of international participation in the economy that has transformed Taiwan into a developed country. Along with Taiwan's remarkable development, over the past 25 years, our membership has expanded to 400 companies and organizations and 700 individual members. Collectively, Europeans have invested more than US$30.9 billion in all major sectors of Taiwan's economy, making them the largest group of foreign investors and contributors to Taiwan's economic development and prosperity.
The ECCT's success would not have been possible without the close cooperation and support of the Taiwan government, the dedication and diligence of its boards of directors, supervisors, committee chairpersons and secretariat and the support of its members. Our 25th Anniversary celebration will acknowledge the contributions of all our stakeholders to the Chamber's outstanding success and look ahead to an even brighter and more prosperous future.
