Did you know that it takes nature about 50 years to break down a beverage can that is thrown into the environment as litter? During this time, it may not only be an eye-sore but can also potentially be a hazard and health risk to both animals and humans.

The ECCT together with Taipei European School hope to reduce the levels of ocean pollution by proactively taking action such as arranging and participating in this event.

The ECCT's CSR Committee sincerely invites you to bring your friends and family members to clean the beach together and make a contribution to Taiwan and the environment. We look forward to seeing you there!

Detailed Schedule:

09:00-09:30    Sign-in and divide into teams
09:30-09:50    Group photos
09:50-10:10    Instructions and hand-out of equipment to participants
10:10-11:30    Beach cleaning
11:30-11:50    Weighing and organizing the collected trash - measure the success!
11:50-12:00    Group photos

Items to Bring:

Hat, sunscreen, drinking water, raincoat, long pants and sleeves, sneakers (please do not wear sandals or slippers), camera, gloves...etc.

Transportation:

1. Public transportation: From MRT Danshui Station, take the Danshui Bus heading towards Jinshan, Shimen or Keelung, and get off at the Baishawan stop. From there you can follow the signs and walk to your destination.

2. Driving: Take Route 2 (Danshui-Jinshan)

3. Taxi: Tell the driver to drive towards Baishawan, but get off at Linshanbi Recreation Area.
