408台中市南屯區向上路二段168號The ECCT's Central Taiwan committee is hosting a half-day event that aims to be both informative and entertaining. It will start with an introduction to IKEA's trading and procurement practices and a tour of a factory of one of IKEA's suppliers (a a furniture producer, more information on: http://www.fafacasa.com/). After this, participants will be transported to IKEA's Taichung store where they will enjoy a barbeque in the store's rooftop garden.

The tour will provide an overview of IKEA's purchasing practices in East Asia, demonstrating the company's sustainability practices and how they assist local suppliers to become sustainable. The evening BBQ will allow members to meet with and mingle with fellow ECCT members with business interests in Central Taiwan.

Agenda:
13:10 – 14:00: Transportation from Taichung's high speed rail (HSR) station to factory
14:00 – 14:15: Introduction to ECCT central Taiwan committee
14:15 – 15:00: Introduction to IKEA trading
15:15 – 16:30: Factory tour (in both English and Chinese), including special visit to new fully automated production area
17:00 – 18:00: Transfer to IKEA's Taichung store by bus
19:00 – 21:00: Barbeque in the rooftop garden of IKEA's Taichung store.

All ECCT members are invited to attend. Whether you already have headquarters, operations, branch offices, clients or suppliers located in Taichung or surrounding areas or are interested in doing business in Central Taichung, this event will give you the opportunity to meet others with similar interests.

This event has been arranged by the Central Taiwan committee, set up to serve the interests of ECCT members and European business interests in the Greater Taichung metropolitan area and surrounding areas in Central Taiwan.

We welcome you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about sustainable trading and procurement practices and meet with other ECCT members in a relaxed, informal setting.

Admission to the BBQ will include 1 free beer, BBQ buffet and unlimited tea and coffee. Additional drinks will be at participants' own expense.

Cost: $1,500 for Members

*The factory visit requires registration by no later than 17 March  
*Transportation from Taichung's HSR station to the factory and from the factory to IKEA Taichung is included.
*The cost of this event does not include transport to and from Taichung.

To cancel without penalty, written cancellation must be received before 28 March.
