On Friday, 17 March the Ministry of Labour released Enforcement Rules on the Labour Standards Act laying out rules and procedures companies must follow to comply with most recent amendments to the Labour Standards Act ("LSA"), promulgated on 6 December 2016. The ECCT's HR committee has invited Liau, Huei-Fang, the Deputy Minister of Labour, to give a presentation to members outlining the main provisions of the enforcement rules and how companies need to demonstrate compliance. The workshop and lunch that follows will provide members with an exclusive opportunity to ask questions of clarification on the enforcement rules and compliance with the Labour Standards Law.

About the speaker
Liau, Huei-Fang is the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Labour. She is a lawyer by training with extensive experience in government dealing with gender equality and labour issues. Prior to her current post she has held the following positions: Member, Committee on Gender Equality in Employment, Ministry of Labour; Chairperson, Taiwan Labour Front; Member, Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee, Taipei City Government; Member, Committee of the Labour Pension Funds; Member, Committee on Gender Equality in Employment, Council of Labour Affairs, Executive Yuan. She obtained her master's degree in law from National Chengchi University and her bachelor's degree from National Chung Hsing University.
