The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) has arranged a webinar series on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in which global CEOs share their companies’ insights and efforts to contribute to the SDGs. In addition to its own membership, ECCK has opened the webinar series to all members of the European Business Organisation Worldwide Network (EBOWWN), which includes the ECCT.

This webinar will feature Guido Fürer, Chief Investment Officer for Swiss Re's Global Asset Management.

The speaker will give a presentation and answer questions from guests via video conference call.

About the speaker

Guido Fürer is a member of the Group Executive Committee at Swiss Re. As Group Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for Swiss Re's Global Asset Management. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several of Swiss Re's legal entities in the US and Europe, and in 2019 also assumed the roles of Swiss Re's Country President Switzerland as well as Chair of Swiss Re's Strategic Council. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of FWD Insurance Group, as well as a co-founder and steering board member of the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance. As a major investor coalition representing over US$5 trillion in assets worldwide, Alliance members pledge to reach net-zero GHG emissions by 2050 across their entire asset portfolios, including committing to intermediary targets and helping others to do the same.
