The ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) cordially invites you to the Tainan Shalun Car Lab Opening Ceremony (including Shalun Park tour, and 4-Ministry workshop) on Monday 25 Feb. from 10:00 to 17:00 in Tainan Shalun Park (No.2, Guiren 13 Road, Tainan City 台南歸仁13路2號), with the presence of President Tsai 蔡英文總統, MOST Minister Chen Liang-ge 科技部長陳良基, and Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-cher 台南市長黃偉哲.

The Shalun Car Lab is a 1.75-hectare autonomous pilot site to further test Taiwan’s research and development capabilities for driver-less cars. According to the MOST Minister Chen, autonomous vehicles, combining with smart & low carbon technologies, will reduce carbon emission and pose an opportunity for Taiwan where is well-established in the electronics field and has great potential to push for autonomous vehicle development.
