The ECCT’s Wind Energy committee hosted a lunch event featuring guest speaker Dr Yu Cheng-Wei, Director-General of the Bureau of Energy under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. At the event, the speaker provided an update on Taiwan’s floating offshore wind energy policies and future development plans, including forthcoming demonstration projects. The event also provided members in the burgeoning floating offshore wind energy sector to engage in an open discussion with the BOE on the topic, with a view towards making a positive contribution to the future floating offshore wind energy policies and development in Taiwan.
