The LCI proudly introduces its 65th member: the Italian Economic, Commercial and Cultural Promotion Office (IECCPO).  For 25 years the IECCPO has been representing Italy's interest in Taiwan and providing consular assistance to the over 800 Italian nationals living in Taiwan. In conjunction with the Italian Trade Commission (ICE Agenzia), IECCPO operates in promoting more intense relations between Italy and Taiwan in the economic-commercial and cultural sectors.

Together with the Italian Trade Agency, the IECCPO will faciliate a larger presence of Italian companies in the energy sector and  encourage those who are already present in Taiwan to participate in the ECCT LCI activities.

In 2021 Italy will play a important role by chairing both the G20 and (in parttnership with the UK) the UN COP 26.
In such capacities Italy intends to highlight the nexus between climate and energy by giving priority to international actions aimed at sustainable recovery in the post Covid-19 scenario and at pursuing technological opportunities through the advancement of circular economy policies.
