Pacific Electric Wire and Cable co., LTD. (PEWC), originally known as "Pacific Wire Manufactory", was founded as first Wire and Cable factory in Taipei on April, 14th, 1950. Besides, PEWC had reorganized as "Pacific Electric Wire and Cable co., LTD." and expanded business internationally on December, 30th, 1957. In 1963, PEWC was the first Wire and Cable corporation listed in Taiwan stock market.
