Sustainability at Siemens Energy

Sustainability is at the heart of Siemens Energy strategy and step-by-step, we are making our contribution to a successful energy transition. We are proud of the progress we have made across all areas of sustainability within Siemens Energy. Through performance reporting and storytelling, our sustainability report provides a comprehensive overview of our sustainability activities.

At Siemens Energy we focus on continuous improvement. In FY23 we achieved our target of 100% share of renewable electricity by 2023 and we are on-track for achieving our decarbonization targets. Our share of women in top leadership positions also increased to 28% (fiscal year 2022: 22%), already surpassing the 25% women in top leadership positions by FY25 target.

Our sustainability program

Sustainability is an integral part of our company strategy. Our Sustainability Program focusses on the most relevant topics that help us achieve our ambition to become a sustainability leader in the industry whilst contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

At the core of the program is the goal to decarbonize energy systems along the entire value chain. Also, at our own operations we aim to continuously improve our performance.

Our businesses, regional entities and central functions will also implement this program. We want to be measured against our goals and performance and have selected strategic KPIs, on which we report in our annual Sustainability Report.
