The Retail & Distribution Committee committee has the following primary objectives:
- Advocating against complicated and non-transparent land zoning rules, unreasonable building requirements and issues related to product packaging and labelling.
- Promoting the adoption of fair and reasonable regulations in order to enhance the overall environment for retail business in Taiwan.
The committee hosts bi-monthly meetings to discuss industry and advocacy issues, holds frequent working level meetings with government agencies and hosts workshop meetings to discuss strategies and actions on specific issues. The committee shares information on non-competitive issues including loss and prevention.
