[Event Report] The Opportunities and Challenges of Green Energy Trading in Taiwan「綠電交易之商機與挑戰」研討會 活動報導

The ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative was a co-organiser of a seminar on "The Opportunities and Challenges of Green Energy Trading in Taiwan" together with PWC and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The half day forum was one of the activities that were part of the Circular Economy Industry Summit from 25-27 September. It was held to discuss Taiwan's policies on renewable energy trading (綠電交易 ), Taiwan Renewable Energy Certificates (T-REC 台灣再生能源憑證), corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPA 企業採購綠電) and renewable energy case studies in Taiwan. The event featured opening remarks by Eric Wu, CEO of PWC and a series of presentations by government officials from the Bureau of Energy (BOE 能源局), the Bureau of Standards, Metrology, and Inspection (BSMI 標檢局), PWC and companies involved in renewable energy services.
