On 16 June, the ECCT's Tax committee arranged a lunch with guest speaker Sung Hsiu-ling, Director-General of the Ministry of Finance's (MoF) International Fiscal Affairs Department. The speaker provided an update on recent tax developments internationally and in Taiwan including recent progress made in expanding Taiwan's tax treaty network and how to utilize the tax treaty network to respond to the new rules established by the OECD's Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) action plans.
