On 5 July, the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) visited the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) where they met with Director-General Lai Yin-yin from the Waste Management Department (環保署廢管處賴瑩瑩處長) and other EPA officials. During the meeting, delegates exchanged ideas and discussed several important topics regarding product carbon footprint labels and the plastics reduction and recycling policies following the agency’s official transition to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MENR) on 22 August 2023. LCI members attending included Hugo Asplund (Leader of the LCI's Sustainable Supply Chain Working Group), Dream Lin, Ivy Tsai, Iris Wang, and Andres Chang. Members were accompanied by ECCT LCI Director Sammy Su, and the LCI Officer Annie Shih.
